Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using ModelRoute's services, API, or website (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

ModelRoute provides a unified API platform for accessing AI models from multiple providers. We act as an intermediary, routing requests to upstream providers and returning responses. We offer subscription plans with daily credit allowances and optional pay-as-you-go credit packs.

3. Accounts

You must create an account to use the Service. You agree to provide accurate information, keep credentials confidential, and notify us of unauthorized access. You are responsible for all activity under your account and API keys.

4. Pricing and Payment

ModelRoute offers tiered subscription plans billed monthly. Each plan includes a daily credit allowance that resets at midnight UTC. Additional credits can be purchased as one-time packs. All payments are processed at the time of purchase through our payment processor.

We reserve the right to modify pricing with 30 days notice. Price changes do not affect the current billing period.

5. Refund Policy

Subscriptions: Subscription fees are non-refundable. When you cancel, your plan remains active until the end of the current billing period. No partial refunds are issued for unused time.

Credit packs: Purchased credit packs are non-refundable once added to your account. Unused purchased credits remain in your account indefinitely and do not expire.

Exceptions: If the Service experiences extended downtime (more than 24 consecutive hours) or a billing error occurs, you may request a refund by contacting support@modelroute.io within 14 days of the charge. Refunds are issued at our discretion.

6. Cancellation Policy

You may cancel your subscription at any time from the billing page or by contacting support. Upon cancellation:

• Your plan remains active until the end of the current billing period
• Your account reverts to the Free plan when the period ends
• Purchased credit packs remain in your account
• Your API keys remain active on Free plan limits
• No further charges will be made

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Generate illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, or hateful content
• Circumvent rate limits or usage restrictions
• Share API keys with unauthorized parties
• Use the Service to build competing products
• Reverse engineer or extract underlying models
• Perform automated scraping without permission

8. Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of content you submit. We process it solely to provide the Service. We do not use your inputs or outputs to train models or for any purpose beyond delivering responses.

9. Service Availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. AI model outputs may contain inaccuracies. The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features with reasonable notice.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ModelRoute shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenues, data, use, or goodwill.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account for violation of these Terms, non-payment, or at our discretion with notice. Upon termination, your access ceases immediately. Unused daily credits are forfeited. Purchased credit packs may be forfeited upon termination for cause.

12. Disputes

Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, disputes shall be submitted to binding arbitration. These Terms are governed by applicable law without regard to conflict of law principles.

13. Changes

We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
